INVITE YOU TO CELEBRATE THEIR WEDDING!
Thank you for stopping by. We’ve put this website together to share all the important details about our big day – the schedule, where to be, what’s happening, and of course a handy place to RSVP. But first, here’s the short version of how we ended up here…
Our story began in 2009 when Catie was talked into a blind date. Reluctant to face it alone, she convinced her friends to turn it into a go-karting trip. Stuart was invited along too. While Catie’s date was busy flooring it around the track and proudly taking first place, he had no idea that Stuart was quietly winning the real prize on the sidelines.
Since then, life has been one long adventure. In 2011 they bought their home (which conveniently makes an excellent wedding venue). There have been many mountains cycled – usually with Catie at the top wondering where Stuart has gone – crazy wakeboarding mishaps, Land Rover trials, and many epic road trips across Europe.
COVID came along, but instead of driving each other mad, they realised just how lucky they were. Their family grew with Evie in 2021 and Archie in 2023, making life louder, busier, and much more wonderful.
The proposal? That happened on the Gruffalo Trail in Grizedale Forest. Stuart lined everyone up for a “family photo” on a log, waited for the perfect moment, then popped the question… after Evie briefly made off with the ring.
And here we are. We can’t wait to celebrate with all our favourite people. Have a look around the site, and we’ll see you on the day – hopefully with fewer runaway rings.
